Yes because as with all metal detectors. Different metals and different shapes of metals can and do! send back the same signal. So pull tabs can give the same signal as things you want to find. Rule Number one ! Do not ignore pull tabs. or you will miss some of what you are trying to find.

Not quite right. All manufactures that have pre set modes on there machines aim the scales on their displays at american coinage. Its the largest market for them. On the ACE 250 use the relic mode it simply knocks out small iron and leaves every thing else in. Ie all the things you want to find. Why knock out ring pulls / pull tabs.If you do ignore them on ANY metal detector you loose to much of want you want to find.

these detectors for coins are made mainly for the use in the usa, american and british coins are slightlty made up of different composition i picked up a 2 pence peice and it was coming up on the display as a silver coin also the ring pulls are coming up as a nickel and ring pulls still attached to the beer cans comes up as silver ???????????????

Yes you can adjust the discrimination on any mode BUT! only the custom mode will remember it when you switch off all others revert to pre sets

can i use discrim and elim settings on the other modes apart from the custom mode to get rid of trash iron steel and ring pulls |
