It's just a ratings ploy...the idea that chris hansen is out there crusading to protect children is a load of crap.I was a victim of statutory rape. When I was 15, a 19 year old girl had sex with me. Little bit of info about "to catch a predator":The only people actually convicted based on this stuff are those who plead no contest. The "minor" in question is actually of legal age to give consent, so there is no charge here that could hold up in court.Intent is not a factor. In the same way, if a very mature looking 15 year old told me she was 21, showed me a fake ID and birth certificate proving it, and I had sex with her, it's still statutory rape.
