This IS the best version and this woman is a god.

Just terrible. Thanks to yet another mediocre artist for butchering the masterpieces of Leonard Cohen. I hate her voice and her acting sucks as well.

I agree I was first exposed to this song back in the day when I watched Pump up the Volume. Then I heard LC. LC is great, but I love the way JN/CC do this.

Thanks scratshs for introducing me to this rendition... it is indeed very unique and compelling however I still prefer the Cohen version, but hey thanks a lot!

I absolutely love the background voice during the chorus, very dark. This tune carries a lot of weight these days, and yes,I know Leonard Cohen wrote it, but she sings it better...J

why does she have to mime every sentance? what a waste... A spoof of the original song

The Pump Up The Volume soundtrack was my first exposure to both Concrete Blonde, and subsequently Leonard Cohen.. I've become huge fans of both. That was such an awesome sountrack, I really should go find it again.

One of my favorite L.C. songs, Johnette sings beautiful, like her phrasing, but a little over dressed a teddy with 6 inch high heels would have been perfect.

Check out Leonard Cohen singing this.....He wrote it...He touches your soul to the core
