I'm so sorry! But you can't blame yourself! Trust me I know. My boyfriend was abused like that and I lost him aswel! But not by being abused but by being hit by a car. I tried to tell him that his parents were wrong but he wouldn't listen. Don't blame yourself really! Look at it this way your friend is now safe and is your angel watching over you.
