problem is williams music sounds the same across multiple movies, and you can actually hear some of the same bars used in multiple songs in multiple soundtracks

I do believe Danny Elfman is a great composer and I love his melodies A LOT! But John Williams is superior in that he does his own orchestrations and conducting. As a composer, I wouldn't want it any other way unless time retrained that leisure. I couldn't chose between the 2 though.

He is the most popular, no doubt, but I think Morricone is a better musician. Williams is very repetitive at times (just listen to Superman, Star Wars, E.T. they all sound similar).

What?! This is incredibly unique. In fact, John has NEVER done anything with this theme.

Does anybody know where I can get the sheet music for the Chairman`s waltz?

*Nods* That is very true. But he is second only to Williams- that can't be denied.
kingwoodmetalist (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
indeed but you can't deny that Danny Elfman is on par with him in many ways
