Well stated. You also have to add the fact that in this song, and songs like his, he has live instrumentation to accompany his vocals. A great percentage of R&B croonies now have synthesized beats laced with their vocals. This washes down the quality and artistry, but it sales and this is what A&R's and music execs put first, the dollar before the product. Anthony Hamilton brought back feeling and picked up where people like Luther left off(not comparing the two).
