if F1's were street legal, id drive one instead of the ridiculously priced Veyron

lol but sure the good old ford rs only lasts 1000hrs untill it needs a full engine rebuild at a cost of 30000 sterling, and thats 5 or 10 yrs ago....

100% race car vs heavy benz?

An F1 is designed to last two hours. A Veyron has to last years without demanding unreasonable maintenance. That's the difference.

the cars aren't even compareable lol

Yes, on the straight the Veyron will beat an F1 car. But as soon as you take it on the track, any F1 car will easily beat it by saving time through the corners! Both are amazing pieces of machinery though, just built for different purposes.

Why dont you quote me on a veyron that can pull 2.5 G's in the turns. You cant compare an F-1 to anything else in the world, be it supercars, nascar or anything else. They are the fastest vehicles in the world around a track. If your comparing a F-1 to a veyron based on acceleration its like comparing a veyron to a top fuel dragster. Theres no comparison, but one can turn and the other cant. Its the same with a F-1 and Veyron. F-1 will go 110 though a 30mph turn.

An F1 doesn't cost 1.5 billion to make. You're talking about R&D costs.Remember that F1's aren't all about speed, but also about control. They're light weight, amazing on corners, and also have the ability to stop in a fraction of the distance a Veyron requires. Stop the fanboy attitude.

what a load of...a cheap little veyron costing 1.5 million euro is going to be quicker than an f1 car coasting 1.5billion dollars....not now not ever...f1 was making 1000bhp from 1000cc engines in the 1970s lol.and yet 28yrs later a little car called a veyron can only manage 1000bhp from a 16litre engine lol lol.please please the japs have been able to get 1500bhp from 2500cc engines back in the 1990s and those cars didnt cost 1.5million euro...

OK. HERE WE GO. AS PROMISED. :) BHP is euro. but if you wanna go by that, sure. Based on your Wikipedia Article, The fastest F1 cars have 1250 HP (American SAE), or 1232 BHP. The new Bugatti Veyron GT, has 1232 BHP as well, per their ad here:img90. imageshack . us/img90 /9613 /272mphve yron9ab .jpgRemove spaces in URL. |
