Murgi Motorsuti Malaikari
(Chicken with green peas)
Ingredients:
Chicken cleaned & cut in 1.5" pieces
Green peas cleaned & washed
Onion fine chopped
Tomato chopped
Unsweetened Youghart (Sada Doi)
Ginger Garlic paste
Coconut milk
Bay leaf
Cinnamon
Clove
Small cardamom
Red chilly powder
Turmeric powder
Mustard oil
Green chilly
Fresh cream
Salt to taste

Method: Heat oil in a heavy bottom pan. Once smoking, add bay leaf, Cinamon, cardamom, clove. Add onion and sugar,
sauté until the onion turns light golden brown. Add chicken pieces & fry lightly. Add ginger, garlic paste, turmeric & red
chilly powder.
Sauté. Add salt & youghat. Cook a while, add tomato & cook
stirring until the oil appears on the top. Add coconut milk. Add a little water if necessary. Cook until the chicken is 80% cooked. Add the
green peas and cook. Whisk in cream. Cook until the gravy thicken. Remove from fire. Serve with hot roti, nan or fine rice.
