I love the arrangement on this one but although I love Mark's voice his phrasing is a little bit off here.

Not Mark's finest hour.

Mark looks a bit absent minded. He's reading the lyrics in stead of really singing them.

Nick was very handsome....and...as a matter of fact...they split up!! I think she deserves something better of Frank Bonadio!!! He's also married!!!! I think this fact is linked to something psychological...maybe that's because of the kind of relationship with her parents...She's so beautiful!!! by the way...in this very moment I'm listening to "the Lion and the Cobra"- TRACK 6--TROY!! :)

that's right.I love sinead and I have always wondered why she chose those ugly and old men.Only her husband Nick Sommerland was handsome and sweet.

Mairtin O'Connor on accordion ... and a double bass player somewhere in the dark ?

Yeah I can agree with that, sure, but it's the implications of: I the angel and she the creature made of clay - that for me is slightly problematical.

I like the lyrics. They bring a message about temptation, sin, consequence, romance found and lost, etc. The themes are universal.

Always loved listening to this since Van Morrison and the Chieftains. This is another very moving version, though I am loathe to admit I don't much care for the message of the lyrics. Who does he think he is? springs to mind. The tune though is bloody beautiful. |
