hmmm... i wish people would realise that religion doesn't ONLY refer to christianity (this guy included). What about Buhddism, or Hinduism, or lots of pagan faiths - they aren't too big on war or taking money. THIS IS AN ATTACK OF CHRISTIANITY, ISLAM, JUDAISM AND OTHER ABRAHAMIC RELIGIONS, NOT RELIGION IN GENERAL. GEORGE CARLIN SHOULD SPECIFY THIS.

DHammerr,George Carlin's jokes are popular because they are social commentaries with a comedic twist.When someone keeps telling you there is a God and continually insists that his way is the only way without evidence, people get angry. Its human nature.As childish as a joke at someone's belief may be, it carries an important message about being rational.I do not deny that I have made silly, immature jokes myself, but George Carlin's message was an important one: rational thought.

Ted Haggard is one creepy hypocrite. He had sex with a male prostitute for 3 years during his preaching and said the "devil" made him do it. LoL wow wonder what his 'God' has to say about that. Religion is just there to get your money and start religious wars.

People are not afraid they are sick of religion.Thats why there is a backlash from eveyone who is not religous. Arrogance is when someone reads any holy book and then uses it as a meter stick to judge everyone they come in contact with. The irony is its usually the most religious that end up smoking meth/banging male hookers(ted haggert) or any of the numerous catholic priest pedophiles or pentecost who take 10% of everyones paycheck that are not acting in accordance to their own rules.
