Some of the F40's were converted to cab control/baggage cars after retirement by removing the prime mover and adding concrete for weight. Affectionely known as "cabbages", the Hiawatha's are a regular short haul route out of Chicago for some of these conversions.

That is true Lake forest Is a very rich place to live. I should know because I lived there when I was 4 years old. I live in oregon area now.

Because it's Lake Forest, and the "rich" residents do not want to be disturbed by a Train Horn. Metra does not use their horn either South of Rondout either. Unfortunately someone was killed by an Amtrak (Hiawatha) heading to Milwaukee this past Friday at about 5:30pm at this exact station
