I don't agree with the words "inner brat children". When you treat yourself (your inner children) this way, you are obviously disidentifying with who you truly were or are now! You need to embrace those wounds to let go of it.

see i dont think anyone ever thinks or feels there completely worthless, i think its when people are down on themselves they just feel that they are worth less than the norm or than what is considered satisfactory. and those last few words reall stuck with me and were thought provoking because i dont treat myself as well as i treat others all the time.

i am not spiritual, but it is a very good point. finding your self worth, which is innate, is what life is about. we do this by realising this, and act out of pleasure, not out of fear of failure or others expectations.

i have trouble gaining self confidence, ive been so terribly depressed due to past relationships, childhood trauma, and present anxieties :( its difficult to get out of it.
