Inaugural Function of Burdwan Health Fair 2003

Burdwan, 18 Dec. 2003: 12th Burdwan Health Fair, a joint presentation of Bardhaman Committee  for Rural Health & Sahid Sivsankar Seva Samity is to be held at the Municipal Fair Ground at Birhata, Burdwan. The fair was inaugurated by Prof. Amit Mallick, Vice-Chancellor, University of Burdwan. Shri Uday Sarkar, Sabhadhipati, Burdwan Zilla Parishad, Suren Mondal, Chairman, Burdwan Municipality, Dr. Bijoy Mukherjee, Prabhakar Chatterjee, Chief Medical Officer, Govt. of West Bengal & other eminent personalities were present at the function. The main theme this year is Water & Water borne disease. All the eminent guests stressed on the proper usage of water & the ways to eradicate the water borne diseases. The fair is targeted to educate the common people about healthy life style.

Everyday cultural functions will be held other than the seminars, workshops.
