A beheaded body of a class twelve student was recovered from beside the Howrah-Asansol railway track in Durgapur this morning. Rintu Ghosh (18), the deceased was missing he had left to attend his coaching class last evening. The police arrested his neighbour and suspect the murder was fallout of a teenage affair. The murder spread sensation in the area. 

Swapan Ghosh, the deceased father, a staff of Durgapur Projects Limited and a CPI(M) leader of Ambedkar colony under the Coke-Oven PS alleged that a local youth, Naba Kumar Dutta used to frequent to their house and inquire about Rintu since past few days. He said, "I had not seen him earlier but I suspected something wrong in his gesture." He added, "he used to visit our house exclusively when my son used to go out. Once my son told me that he has no business with that youth." The family had reported to police after Rintu did not return home last night. The local Coke-Oven PS also had recorded a missing diary. The locals residing in slums besides the railway track found the beheaded body of the youth lying beside the track early this morning.

The GRP officials with the Durgapur railway station immediately rushed the spot and the matter was intimated to the Coke-Oven PS officials by the GRP. The inquiring police officials found that the youth had severe injury in his skull and about 20 metres from the location the body was recovered, the police found clothes of Rintu with stains of blood. A wire was also found in the location which according to the police helped suffocating him before chopping his head. Later the police arrested Naba Kumar Dutta, cousin brother of a girl with whom the deceased youth reportedly had affairs. Naba, as stated by the locals, did not approve mixing up of his sister with Rintu and had threatened him of dire consequences. He was arrested from his house today.
