The police recovered the bodies of Rajkumar Yadav (25) and Jalpori Bauri (16), both of Damra village from the Damodar riverside in Raniganj early this morning. The couple was hacked to death with the help of some blunt weapon. The deceased had affairs since past few months. 

Police came to know that, Rajkumar, a security guard with a local stone quarry got involved with Jolpori a girl from the same locality in Damra village. Both used to meet in the riverside location frequently. Yesterday both did not return home leaving their guardians into anxiety. The Circle Inspector of Raniganj police, Dilip Roy said, ‘today the bodies were recovered from the riverside. Both had injury at their lower abdomen. The assailants hit them with blunt weapon.’ The police suspect that the assailants were engaged to put an end to their affairs, which was not approved by both the families. None however is arrested.
