A case of alleged sexual assault of a receptionist at a computer cum spoken english center at the Bidhannagar area. Based upon an appointment's advertisement at a leading Bengali daily, Banani Chatterjee, wife of Ambarish Chatterjee of local Amarabati defense colony appeared for an interview at the NEC Computer Centre at the HUDCO more. She passed the interview & was asked to resume duties on 13th Sep. 

She joined at the institute yesterday morning & was sexually assaulted by the proprietor of the firm, Nripen Sammadar, she complained. Banani & her husband lodged a complain with the NTS police station against Samaddar. The couple informed that, as soon as Samaddar's wife left the house where the center is held, Samaddar jumped into action & forcibly closed the door & tried to sexually assault the lady. Banani however managed to escape from his clutches & called up her husband over telephone. The Chatterjee couple lodged a complain at the local NTS police station, the police couldn't nab Samaddar as he managed to abscond from his residence. The local people demanded his immediate arrest & tore down the center. At the same time, two more ladies came down to the center to appear for an interview for the same post. They were not only amazed to experience the situation but also queried that, why were they called when some else was already appointed at the post.

Mrs. Sammadar however was not available to comment on the incidence.
