"The left front government have played the most vital part in improving the life of the tribal during the past 27 years" claimed Maheswar Murmu, the state minister of tribal welfare at an exclusive interview with bardhaman.com. The minister was in Durgapur yesterday on occasion of the 149th `Hul Divas'. He also informed, "A corporation have been formed for development of tribal in 2000" The minister also emphasised on accrediting the usage of Alchiki language. He said, "some of the words of Alchiki can't be written in any other script in the world. Only our state have accredited the language in 1979, no other state is yet to do the same. We are trying so that, the tribal students can appear in the board exams using the script."
