Shri Indu Prasad Das alais Bapi of Chhanapukur, P.O. Rasulpur, Burdwan doesn't only make models but they seem to walk out of the frame any moment. One will be amazed to know that the models depicting the finest details are made from straw one of the most basic materials available in the district. He is honoured with various prizes for his work of craft. "Only thing de-motivate us is that, the people are not aware of the basic art forms of the region & rush to by `manufactured' art pieces to decorate their homes." said Shri Das. He added, "Not only much we can do about it unless government & administrative officials come up to promote us more."
