Burdwan , 26 Jan.
04 : The 55th republic day was observed at all over Burdwan
district today. The Guard of Honour was received by Subrata Gupta,
District Magistrate & K. C. Meena, Supt. of Police at the
Burdwan Reserve Police Line ground. The flag was hosted by the
District Magistrate at around 9:10 am this morning. The district
police officials & Debasish Basu, A.D.M.(Dev), Burdwan was
present at the function. The parade consisted of various tableau
of administrative & social welfare organisations. The
spectators missed the show of the dog squad of Burdwan Police
which was absent this year following the ill health of the leader
dog of the squad. A cultural program along with the drill marked
the end of the event.
