In a shocking incident that has sent tremors in the entire literary society and people of
India, the much appreciated Nobel prize won by Rabindra Nath Tagore for ‘Geetanjali’
in 1913 A.D., was stolen from
a museum in Uttarayan complex, Shantiniketan last night by
unknown miscreants.
This discovery was made early morning today when the office staff of
the Viswa Bharati museum came and found out that the lock of the door was broken and the ‘priceless trophy’ along with some other extremely important documents were missing. Various paintings, acclamations and certificates awarded to Tagore by the governments and literary societies of different countries are also reportedly missing.
