A housewife & her lover was arrested yesterday following murder of her husband. Sanjoy Kharat (30) a mason of Naricha village under Khandoghosh police station was strangled to death by the lover duo, Angura Kharat & Basab Maji. Both the culprits were arrested by the police & was produced before the special court at Burdwan today & was sent to judicial custody.  

The villagers informed that, Basab being a friend of Sanjoy had an access to his house & eventually got involved with an illicit relation with Angura. The duo was caught red handed by the husband & the relation between the friends turned bitter. Yesterday morning the lovers strangled Sanjoy to death & later poured poison in his mouth to disguise the death as suicide. The villagers even took the body to the cremation ground for the final rituals. Some of the villagers then noticed a dark mark on the deceased neck & suspected the case to be of a murder. The wife was immediately interrogated & eventually confessed to have murdered her husband along with her lover Basab. Both of them were arrested by the police & the body was sent for post mortem.
