The Burdwan district bar association have issued notice to 56 lawyers for verification of their LLB marksheets. The association had to issue the notice after the recent controversy over the forged marksheet issue. The decision was taken at a meeting held on 31st August & a four member committee under the leadership of the vice-president of the association to review the marksheets of the lawyers passed out after the year 2000.

The lawyers have been asked to submit their marksheets & certificates before the committee for scrutiny. The president of the bar association, Murari Mohan Konar confirmed this & informed this to be a routine check-up.
