Yet another disaster hit a magical show. This time the much hyped `seminar' of `memory magician', Biswaroop Roy Choudhury failed when the members of the Bigyan & Yuktibadi Samity challenged Roy of cheating the public. The members of the samity presented Roy with a list of words & challenged him to demonstrate his ability without uttering the words. The members claimed that, Roy has a high quality microphone & headphone hidden in his body which transmits the words to `a receiver' who eventually read back his uttered words & helps Roy to

demonstrate his much acclaimed memorising technique. Roy claimed himself to have invented a specalised technique to memorise words & numbers easily which can help students & other people. Roy claimed himself to be a holder of national record in memory power & accredited by Limca Book of Records. His seminar was advertised widely in leading bengali & english dailies & charged entry fee for his seminar. A huge number of students & their parents turned out to attend the seminar. He also stated that, the technique can be taught to students in lieu of a fee of Rs. 2,500 each student. 

Roy was challenged by the Kolkata chapter of the samity at a similar show about a month back in Kolkata. Some spectators expressed their astonishment that, inspite of such incidence, how the district administration allowed such show to be hosted. Both the parties lodged complaint against each other at the Burdwan police station.
