FORWARD BLOCK WRATH AGAINST ADMINISTRATION ON BAR ISSUE

Naren Chatterjee, the state general secretary of the Forward Block's youth wing (Yuva League) expressed wrath against CPI(M), police & administration. Today at a press conference, he even accused CPI(M), their major counterpart in the Left Front to deviate from the common minimum program. Acclaiming the members of league for ransacking a liquor on-shop near Burdwan station recently. He also informed, "such resistance will continue from our part against liquor, satta & online lottery". He said, "the current government have started allotting liquor shop licenses to

almost every applicant in order to generate more revenue.The supreme court have passed a ruling earlier stating that any liquor shop or bar shouldn't be operated within a 100m radius of any educational institute, religious place etc." He also accused the CPI(M) led Left Front government as 12 protestors including a councilor were arrested for ransacking the bar. Following the ransack, the businessmen's organisation (Byabsai Surakha Samity) called in for a business strike at the city.
