Dacoits snatched away 4 lakhs rupees from an employee of a rice trading house of Burdwan while he was returning from Katwa after collection from customers. The dacoits blocked the SBSTC bus with their motor cycles ordered the driver to stop. As soon as the bus stopped, the dacoits entered the bus and went straight to Ujjal Biswas and asked him to hand over the money which he collected from Katwa. Even they demanded for the exact Rs. 4,00,000. The dacoits completed the operation within minutes & asked the driver to move forward. Later Biswas lodged a complaint with the police. Today police arrested 6 persons in connection with the dacoity. Police also recovered Rs. 2,37,500, mobile phone and two motor cycles from their posession. Burdwan police super, Niraj Singh told, "we hope to recover the rest of the money very soon."
