CPI(M) EXPELS TWO LEADERS OF DIKNAGAR

Though the situation in Diknagar village is under control & no fresh clashes has taken place, the area is still tensed. The district CPI(M) have already expelled two of its members from the area. Tension is still prevailing in the village. Almost every villagers of the area, have fled from the village & taken shelter in a nearby field in fear of police raid & subsequent torture. The police picket is still in the village to prevent any more attack. The food department officials along with the police have raided the nearby ration shops in search of the stolen rice grains.

The district police super Niraj Kumar Singh informed that, although police had fired 6 round bullets, the injury sustained by the four villagers were not from them. "The bullets were fired from the mob" informed the police super. The bullets were removed from the injured & their conditions are improving described the doctors. The right eye of Chaabi Bauri however was destroyed in the process.

Two CPI(M) leaders of the area, Omai Bagdi & Shyamal Banerjee has been expelled by the district committee. The district secretary of the CPI(M), Amal Halder informed, "although it is a coincidence, both were them were expelled as they were proved to be associated with corruption at our internal investigation".
