A naxalite organisation in the name of the COC-CPI(ML) have
fixed posters calling poll boycott. The hand painted posters were
seen at different public places in the city like, Burdwan Medical
College & Hospital, Railway station, bus stand etc. today
morning. The organisation's printed leaflets were found in
different places in the city including at a market area in the
center of the city. The publicity materials raised sensation
amongst the common people.
K. C. Meena, Superintendent of police when contacted said,
"We are enquiring on the matter. We are sure this
organisation is not linked with PWG. These will not have an impact
on the election."
The posters have urged to the common people to restrain from
voting & `return EVMs with no votes on it'.
