Harihar Routh (56) a migrant contact labour with the Eastern Railways died yesterday when he was hit at the Bankanala railway bridge. Routh was believed to be working at the line when a train speeded past him. He got misbalanced and was hit at the gutters of the bridge. He was rushed to the BMCH where he died at the night.

Routh, originally from Chapra, Bihar was reported to be associated with the cleaning of the bridge on the eve of visit of the GM of Eastern Rail when the incident happened.
