DYFI ANNOUNCES TO CONTINUE PROTEST AGAINST LIQUOR & ONLINE LOTTERY

The DYFI claims to continue with their battle against `social threats' like illegal liquor, marijuana & online lottery. The state secretary, Asitanga Ganguly informed about this at a press meet today on occasion of the 13th state conference of the organization. The conference is scheduled to be held from 7th - 10th Oct at Durgapur.

Ganguly also reminded the people the part DYFI plays on prevention of the youth from the social threats. "We cannot even imagine in our wildest dreams that 

our young brothers will indulge in alcoholism & gambling. We will fight till our last breath to resist such social crimes." informed the secretary. Ganguly informed that although they will continue with their fight against such organizations, but informed they does not support the activities of the Youth League like the recent bar ransack at Burdwan. He also added, "we will always involve common people with our movement." The organization also claims to appeal to the state government within a week to reconsider its decision to grant more liquor shop & bar license. "We admit the government is in need of revenue but it should not be at the cost of the young lives." said Ganguly.
