The twin murder case has finally been solved by the district
police after two days of finding the decomposed body of a
young lady & a 3 years old child in two travel bags
near Mirchoba, under Burdwan police station area. The
police was called by the local councilor when local people
complained of bad smell coming out from a pond-side. They
were identified today as Punam Debi (30) & Nilu Show
(3). Punam's husband Sardar Show, a businessman from
Kolkata has been arrested in connection with the twin
murder. Police is in search of another associate of Show
in this act.
Today Show came at Burdwan police station to collect
information about his wife & child from police.
Immediately, the district police police arrested him.
Kailash Chandra Meena, the superintendent of police,
Burdwan informed, "Show has admitted that, he had
strangled both his wife & child to death on 26.04.04.
He along with the driver of a hired vehicle packed the
bodies in travel bags. They carried the bodies from |

disposed them to the place from where the bodies were later
recovered. Finally while interrogation, he confessed his
crime." He was produced at the district special court today
& was sent to police custody for 10 days.
Rajesh Kumar Gupta, brother of Punam after getting information
through a newspaper, contacted Burdwan police & identified his
sister today. He informed that, "my sister though originally
from Sasaram, Bihar was married to Sardar Show of Kolkata about
7-8 years ago. On 27.04.04 he called up his in-laws to inform them
that, she & their youngest daughter is missing. Later we upon
information came to Burdwan & identified both of them."
But Rajesh has no idea why such incidence took place.
Sardar Show on interrogation said, "I along with another
associate strangled both of them to death on 26th April. She had
illicit relation with another person & even I'm sure that this
baby doesn't belong to me. There was no other alterative before me
when inspite of several discussions she didn't change her
nature."
