Burdwan, 02 May. 04: 
Two migrant labours were killed at a fight between two groups at Patna village under Bhatar police station last night. Lite Hansda (30) & Binda Hansda (40) both from Dumka, Jharkhand were killed by another migrant labour Dubai Hembram. Primary reports revel that, like every year, the group of about 20 labours from Dumka came to work at the fields of Nazrul Haque. Another group of labours from Kokrajhor, Assam came to his house this year. Some members of these labours broke into quarrel after which Dubai Hembram slashed Lite & Binda with a sickle. Both of them died on the spot. Hembram was arrested by the Bhatar police.

Police officials of the Bhatar police station informed that, "we couldn't determine why exactly these two were killed. It seems the action was out of excitement & anger due to the quarrel. We are enquiring at the matter." The accused was produced at the district special court, Burdwan today & was sent to the police custody for further investigation. Later he was admitted at the police cell of the Burdwan Medical & Hospital.
