A gangster of the industrial area was injured when two groups open fired at each other today afternoon. Groups of Manoj Singh & Guddu Singh crossed each other at Sripur area of Asansol this afternoon. Police sources believe both groups were on their way to steal scrap iron from the area. The groups fired bullets & threw bombs at each other. Monoj went down after Guddu's bullet hit on his abdomen. Police have arrested Manoj & he was admitted at the Asansol sub-divisional hospital under custody. Police is in search of Guddu & his associates. District police super, Niraj Kumar Singh informed that, the police is confident to nab up the miscreants shortly. He also said, "we will invest our every effort to eradicate the coal & iron mafias from this district."
