He further alleged that he was murdered only because he braved to be a polling agent on behalf of the Trinamul Congress despite of strong caution by the CPI-M in Bogra under Jamuria
police station area.
The person, according to the party leadership had also received threat in front of the polling officials when he had challenged bogus voting. The CPI-M meanwhile has refuted charges and described Hela a migrated miscreant from Bihar.
Tapas Kobi, CPI-M district committee member and chairman, Jamuria municipality
told Bardhaman.com that Hela was a miscreant and he died out of inter gang
rivalry. He also said, 'why should our partymen kill a Trinamul Congress man when we have got an easy victory?'
Ghatak meanwhile had to go to the JK Nagar area to help another polling agent Badal De return back to his home on the following day of election. He complained, 'the CPI-M men had threatened him too in to dire consequences. I made official complaint with the local police investigation centre.'
