This Durgapuja of
Chitttranjan is 39 years old. The organisers have
stressed on the theme of peace & used motifs
from the life of Buddha to adorn the interior. The
designs are made of jute. `We used the medium to
promote the almost closed jute industry' expalined
Dilip Dev, secretary of the Durga puja committee.
The debi murti is made by artisans of Krishnanagar.
