This 60 years old Durgapuja and a newbee in the big puja band wagon continues with its love with the African continent. This theme based Durgapuja of Burdwan shifts from its last year Egyptian theme to creating an mandap depicting the African tribal folk & culture.

The mandap is built in bamboos with masks & other items associated with the tribal lifestyle. The interior is nicely done with items & motifs of the African tribal. The debi murti is also built matching with the theme. The same group of students of the art college has been entrusted by the committee to decorate the Durgapuja this year like the last year. The background music of the tribal drumbeats & lighting using masal also enhance the atmosphere.
