This Durgapuja have not only successfully managed to pull the crowd to the extreme east of Burdwan but have established an identity of its own during the last few years. This Durgapuja have already grown up to compete with its big brothers. The mandap is artistically done with elaborate decorations using mat (madur) & cane baskets (jhuri). The Durga murti, in bronze colour is quite nicely done by Tarakchandra Pal of Burdwan.
