This Durgapuja, started by the families of the police staffs of the city 6 years old. This puja is totally organised by ladies, wives of the police officials. "We worship debi Durga, a symbol of power seeking blessing for our husband & family" informed the secretary of the Durgapuja committee, who happens to be the better half of the additional police super.

On dashami, over 140 families have community lunch. The Durga murti & mandap is created by local artisians.
