This puja happens to be one of the leaders for drawing the maximum number of crowds. The 58 years old Durga puja has virtually own all awards in the Asansol industrial area.

The mandap is built in abstract format with decors made of sawdust on jute. The medium was chosen to remind the citizens the multi usage of jute, one of the prime cash crop of the state, informed the organisers. The mandap is built by decorators from Egra, Midnapur. The Durga idol has been created by Ramchandra Patra of Midnapur.

The interior of the mandap is decorated by murals of saw dust. The organisers donate food to the needy on the nabami day.
