One of the famous pujas in the city is all set to charm again on its 43rd year of Durgapuja. The mandap will have extravagant decor with lead pencils. The club like prior years, have  plans to divert a part of their puja budget for social welfare activities.

Situated just after Laltu while going towards Calcutta, this is another most visited pujo in the city. This year the pandal will depict a museum of Paris, France. The interior of the temple will have decorative sculptures and design made with plaster of paris.

This puja started off as an ancillary of Laltu and Sobuj Sangha, but went on well to make an identity and impact of themselves in the few years. This year the puja will use cane baskets to decorate the mandap.

The harvest season of this rice bowl of West Bengal happens to be the theme of this Durgapuja. The mandap & the gates will resemble marai or rice gola. The pratima & decor will be made in dokra art form.

The mandap of this Durgapuja is made depicting the famous Red Fort of Delhi. The pratima will be made up with straw. This Durgapuja is all set again to regain its lost glory.
 

This Durgapuja have successfully pulled the crowd to the extreme east of the city with its vibrant puja. This year the mandap is built resembling a broken mandir. Baskets & sola is used to decorate the interior.

This year this Durgapuja will transfer the viewers to the African jungles. Last year the pandal was designed as a pyramid complete with Sphinx and mummy. Designed by five students from Govt. Art College, the murti will also in accordance with the theme.

Although started in 1961, this puja came into limelight last year & in style. This year the mandap will depict the famous Ajanta caves. The Durga murti will also be made in style with the murtis found inside the Ajanta caves. Another show stopper in the making.

This puja committee is celebrating its 50th year of celebration this year. The pandal will be constructed in abstract design, with the interiors built in madur. Designs made of plywood & madur will decor the exterior of the mandap.

Another famous Durgapuja of Burdwan joins the theme band-wagon. The mandap & atmosphere will be set to rural scene. The mandap is made following the thatched atchala of Bengal.
 
 

This Durgapuja celebrated its golden jubilee four years ago. The mandap is entirely built with hogla leaf & the interior has been meticulously done using hogla pata & sawdust on thermocol.
