PUJA
NIRGHANTO, 2004
Durga's mode of journey to the earth
is detailed in scriptures. The modes,
elephant, horse, dola and boat all
signify luck or omen which influence
the life on earth.
This year the goddess arrives on a boat and
departs on horse. Goddess Durga's arrival on boat signifies good harvest while her departure on horse foretells anarchy and destruction.
